Four people killed and 74 arrested after rival cults clashed in Nigeria

Four people died in clashes between two rival cults in Lagos State, Nigeria on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st September.

The clash between members of the Aiye and Eiye confraternities also led to the burning of three vehicles and escalated tension in the area.

Three people were killed in Odogunyan whilst another was shot in the arm. In the Itire area, a suspected cultist, Aliu Lamidi, was reportedly stabbed to death during a supremacy battle, allegedly by the son of the owner of a hotel in the area during an argument that broke out between members of the rival cults.
