Three men arrested in Nigeria for murder and cultism

The Nigerian Imo State Police Command arrested 18-year-old Chibueze Kalu and two others for murder and cultism.

The suspects were said to have been arrested at their hideout in Imo State after they had murdered two persons in Nekede, Owerri.

The police spokesperson stated that the suspects would be charged to court after investigation, adding that the State Commissioner of Police, Dasuki Galadanchi, had charged the Anti-Cultism Unit of command to restore normalcy in the affected area.

He also urged members of the public not to hesitate in reporting suspicious movements by strange or known persons within their environment to the police.

“The suspects have made useful statements to the police, admitting to be members of a secret cult. Two pistols with two .9mm live ammunition and one locally-made pistol with one live cartridge were recovered from the suspects.”

Iwuagwu told journalists that he was a member of the Aiye confraternity.
