Woman’s body found inside plastic drum in Bangalore railway station

The body of an unidentified woman was found inside a plastic drum at Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal railway station in Bangalore, India on the night of Sunday 12th March 2023.

According to the police, CCTV footage shows three individuals carrying the drum and leaving it at the railway station. The footage is currently being examined as part of the ongoing investigation.

The police have stated that a man only identified as Nawab, along with seven other individuals, killed the woman. The victim’s legs were reportedly broken to fit her body inside the drum, which was then sealed. Four people then transported the drum to the railway station.

According to SK Soumyalatha, GRP Superintendent, Nawab was unhappy with his brother’s marriage to the victim.

It is then claimed that he and the other individuals involved in the crime strategically placed the drum so that it would be collected and disposed of along with the other blue drums at the station.
