25-year-old Erich Stelzer, from Cohasset, Massachusetts, met 24-year-old Maegan Tapley on Tinder.
On Thursday 27th December, police officers were called to Stelzer’s house and found him repeatedly stabbing the young woman.
The officers used their tasers to subdue him, but he was pronounced dead on the way to hospital. Maegan Tapley is currently recovering.
