The bodies of three men who had gone missing together in Detroit in January 2023 were found in the basement of an abandoned apartment building two weeks later.

The Wayne County Medical Examiner confirmed that the remains found in Highland Park, Detroit, on Thursday February 2nd, 2023, belong to the three missing rappers Armani Kelly, Montoya Givens and Dante Wicker.

According to the examiner, the cause of death was not able to be immediately determined as the bodies were “solidly frozen.”

Lt. Mike Shaw from the Michigan State Police stated that the three men were killed on the apartment building’s second floor and then dragged to the basement.

On January 21st, 2023, the three aspiring rappers were scheduled to perform at Lounge 31 in Detroit’s east side. However, the show was cancelled.

Armani Kelly’s mother reported her son missing on January 23rd. Four days later, family members of Montoya Givens and Dante Wicker saw a media report about Kelly and realised all three men who knew each other were missing.

Detroit Police Department had stated that this was an incredibly unusual case, as it is uncommon for three individuals to go missing together.
